Contact with our team is made through our Law Enforcement Partners within the Appalachian region
Our services become available after notification by law enforcement. During the course of an incident, the responding officer will determine if one or more individuals involved would benefit from our service offerings. Cases could include:
Domestic issues where parties are instructed to separate for the night
Transient / Nomadic individuals whose health is put at risk by lack of shelter
Stranded motorists
Other immediate need situations deemed appropriate by the responding officer
Red Tree Ministries will determine if services will be offered based solely on information provided by law enforcement. Once accepted, participants will receive shelter, meals and transportation. Our services will be made available for a maximum of 24 hours. Red Tree Ministries will determine the time when services end.
At the conclusion of our service offering, Red Tree Ministries will provide referrals for any applicable long term assistance programs in the area. It will be the responsibility of the participant to contact those agencies, if the participant so chooses.
Red Tree Ministries does not:
Discriminate based on sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
